Lesson of the day:

If you stay in a room infused with the scent of menudo for more than an hour, you stink for the rest of the day.

But after eating the best menudo in recent history, I took my grandparents to walmart and home and then proceeded to sit on the couch to watch the second disc of appendices of the Lord of the Rings- extended DVD. I've been watching it in sessions.

So yeah...I've done pretty much nothing...until just now!

I was chatting with my friend from Brazil and then just got caught up in God's sovereignty as He was calling her unto Himself this is some of what transpired:

marinheira says:i like it, i had to go to the store today and i met a lady that lives on 8flor today... and talked about jesus all the time w/ me... and my mom said that it is something that maybe God wants to say... and now she saw that pics and pretty words and she said again

Thevina says:i agree

marinheira says:i agree too,2 people in the same day

Thevina says:hmm...i think God is inviting you to something special...inside of all of us is a wanting (desire) to know God because since He created us, we have that want to know Him...

marinheira says:thevina how do u picture him?

Thevina says:well from what I read in the Bible..At his feet there is like jewels and gems that are so bright that they look like they are on fire... and He is sitting on a throne that is in the sky and the throne is huge but at the same time its welcoming and there are angels flying everywhere- worshipping Him...and I guess I never think about what His face looks like because no one has ever seen it but I think that its most likely the most beautiful thing in the whole universe mainly because I know that when He looks at me- His eyes will be filled with love and recognition...you can only have that if you ask Him to send His Spirit into you and save you from your sins and then be in control of your life

Thevina says:heres the thing....without the Holy Spirit (God) you can't know all the bad things you do- because you are human and always do bad things but with the Holy Spirit, He automatically takes all those sins and forgives you (all the bad things and hurts from the past) and HE makes you a better person... theres nothing you can do to be a better person- you just have to let Him change you. In the Bible it says that He knows us perfectly but we don't know Him so thats why He sent Jesus so that we could get to know Him

Thevina says:AH!! Praise God!

Thevina says:Yeah! its the best thing ever!

Thevina says:ok...well the Bible says that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord that you will be saved

marinheira says:what elsethat i need him in my heart?and life

Thevina says:YEAH! thats right!

marinheira says:ok,i am going to do now,i am gonna call u and say to u ok

Thevina says:ok

So she called and she prayed asking Jesus to be Her Lord! I am still awestruck. She was a foreign exchange student in '95 who found her way into our home and now the Lord led her to her eternal home. She said at the end of the phone call that she could see His hand in her life taking her to our family, keeping us in touch, and now this. She said that she felt different and new and that she was "sure that i will have the best sleep in my life" Jehova Tskindu making all things new
